As the Union of Evangelical Christian - Baptist of Uzbekistan unites nearly 30 churches and groups all over Uzbekistan, naturally the camp Joy can welcome insufficiently many of those who are involved and in need of the nourishing spiritual diet. Therefore some large churches take the initiative to work on alternative camps in mountains located nearby to Tashkent. They use their domestic resources: human, transport and so on, but however serve not exclusively to their own members. The camp "Светоч" - "Lamp of the hope" serves as a good example of such phenomena. An initiator of this camp is one of the largest Tashkent congregations.


The program consists of three eight-days camps. Each of three camps serves to nearly one hundred and fifty campers. Thus another four hundred and fifty campers from congregations that were not taken in the similar programs were invited in the "Lamp of the hope" camp, including congregations of cities: Samarkand, Zarafshan, Uchkuduk (both in the direction of Navoiy city, see the map), Tashkent and some other cities of Tashkent district.

The camp is conducted on a rented place. Formerly this place was a children's holiday camp too. But last few years possessors are not able to bring kids in for economical reasons.
